Cole Park Associates are memebers of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors and are experienced in the preparation of Party Wall Awards acting on behalf of building ownders, adjoining owners and also as Agreed surveyor.

If your building project requires Party Wall notices in accordance with the Party wall etc. Act 1996, we will prepare these for you to make sure that they are served correctly. We will also carry out a schedule of condition of your neighbour’s property, preventing them from claiming that any pre-existing damage or defects were caused by your project. If your neighbour dissents to the work, we will further prepare and agree the Party Wall Award associated with the project.

Normally you will receive Party Wall notices from your neighbour stating that they are planning building works. This can be works within their property, an extension, or a loft conversion. As neighbours’ you will need to respond to the notices and it is best practice to dispute the works enabling a Party Wall Award to be prepared. We can represent you in this regard to ensure that an accurate Schedule of Condition is done to your property and ensure all works are done in accordance with the Award to protect your interests and ensure any damage done due to their works is rectified.

 

Do not worry about the cost of our fees is generally fully paid by the building owner doing the works.
